RE: Cant VP21 read a 4.4.4 recorded video from OBS Studio?
Try uploading pluges with different settings. (32-bit video using a levels Fx to make one computer range and one studio range). Then use color cop to read the color numbers on the screen.

RE: Colors Crading export luts don't work.
@KaraUSA There are 2 basic ways to export LUTs from Vegas. If you want to export LUTs of color grades, suggest you do all of the grading as well as the export in a single level of the Color Grading Panel. If you export from the Fx chain, it only

RE: Big test (and performance/bug report) comparing VP22 to VP 19
Yes, the only way to do the proxy test was to toggle between preview and best. There was no change. I created the proxy after I did the cropping. If there's an order to follow please let me know. Vlog with Vgamut itself doesn't conform to HDR or SDR

RE: Preview window showing proxy on event with fx small lower left corner
I'm applying color correction and then pan/crop this morning. I don't think it matters which fx because I know I tried others 2 months ago when I first discovered the problem. And I just tried a second test, and I just had to apply the color

[Solved] Chroma Keyer Eyedropper
When using multiple monitors, I have never been able to sample colors from the desired screen and object using the eyedropper in the chroma keyer. Is there a way to do this? I haven't tried working with the Vegas chroma keyer in a while, but I think

RE: Vegas color grading vs other tools
@Steve_Rhoden that might be so, but I still would like the option of working with sliders. I also know that there are more options in vegas then the wheels, I still get much faster results with the "antiquated" type interface. Three sliders, hue,

Vegas color grading vs other tools
Hi all, just wondering why the Vegas color grading is generally, to my eyes at least, somewhat not as intuitive as it could be. At the risk of sounding somewhat peculiar, I never liked color wheels. Whenever I work with Lightroom's sliders, or tools

RE: [Closed] ACES/32-full & sLOG3
I wonder if that's the wrong way to look at it- that in ACES you're in the ACES color space, not Rec709.https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/aces-and-acescc-intro-and-tutorial-for-vegas-pro--100416/

Loss of video (color bars & text) in timeline & renders
Hi, I'm a longtime VEGAS user with a new issue. Currently running Vegas Pro 20 (build 411) on a Dell XPS 8490 with 32GB RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce 3060 Ti graphics card, supporting two 24" monitors (one for timeline, one for preview). I've been

RE: Blue clips taken on Boeing Dreamliner
The window itself has essentially a tinted electronic neutral density filter built into it. Correcting WB at the time of shooting is the best option (though not sure how well this can be done). I'd start with the hue and temperature sliders in the

RE: The Color Grading window is lagging
I don't really understand the video. It just keeps jumping in and out of the color grading panel. You don't even playback the footage with it applied. Is the issue the time it takes to redraw the windows? In general I'd color last after the edit is

RE: Vegas color grading vs other tools
While you can see that I make use of many Adobe Products, do the sliders in the Vegas Color Grading Panel not work for you? I don't tend to use Color Wheels, either.

RE: levels dilemma
Thanks! As I work in 32bit video levels, gamma is greyed out and set to 2.2 by default.Yes studio RGB is unchecked.I ended up using the color curves plugin to limit the black levels to slightly above zero, and that finally worked.

RE: render freezes and got black screens
Interesting in deed. I have the Mini 3 Pro and and a G9 that I shoot in 4K 10 bit 4:2:2 in addition to 8 bit. The files can be MOV or MP4. I will use plugins, color correct/grade and always never an issue rendering the finished videos.

RE: 2 Different Cameras, settings and color matching?
Those look great -- work on getting the "memory" colors matched -- blacks, neutrals, and flesh tones. Don't try to match fabric colors; it will drive you insane. If white fabrics and linens fluoresce blue, a UV filter may help.

RE: Survey: What min/max levels does your cam shoot?
I think I'm misremembering how VEGAS works and it's just that the studio RGB setting in scopes doesn't do anything with the histogram.Anyway, to do this test property use 8-bit video levels and what you see in the histogram is the answer. It doesn't

RE: 10 Bit Video in Vegas Pro 22 - What Project Settings to Use?
There is a 4th type of cells that can "only" differentiate brightness levels. But this type is way more sensitive to light then the 3 types the human eye uses for color perception. And the eye has way more of this 4th type (ca. 120 million) compared

RE: [Solved] HDR projects rendering bad results when Windows on SDR display mode
I started experimenting HDR10 video and did following: Windows 11 display mode was SDR (tested earlier also windows 10). The settings in Windows internally have to be set to HDR for your display before you start up Vegas, but not to SDR.

RE: adding text to video timeline
@Gid Thanks, text works now. & that's weird, I never touch that. I do apply FX to every clip individually. I just opened and says Color Grading checked, but does nothing when I uncheck. Very weird. Maybe no attributes or whatever tied to it.
