RE: Re-Disappointed
No, I'm making it sound like Resolve isn't as cheap as many like to make it out to be, as you must have far more expensive hardware to run it properly, then you still have to shell out even more money for a blackmagic output card to see full screen

RE: Re-Disappointed
I'm using 16 on a Ryzen 7 1800x 64GB DDR4 GTX 970 system, and I have no such issues, even in 15. Performance isn't perfect, especially in 15, but I ran my business off of it until 16 dropped. So4 did cause headaches (lost clients even), but this

RE: HDR monitoring
We will see if and how the Blackmagic HDR compatible cards will be supported in future. For the two professional BM cards the cheaper mini monitor Decklink 4K card seems not to work with the actual build at all, as it has been reported by an user in

HDR monitoring
I've uprgaded to Vegas 16 and so far so good. Been a user since version 6. Upgraded mostly for the HDR on my LG 65" OLED and it looks very straightforward and promising having rendered files that display the HDR banner on the display except, the

RE: Re-Disappointed
You can't compare blackmagic design to Magix price wise though, they don't need to make money from their software. They keep reducing the price of their software every year. Was $2500 then $1000, now it's $300 & unlike vegas pro it's used in

. Beside the fact that there will never ever be a 100% bug free Software, I also agree that it is a question of development hours to fix some of the older Bugs. As Long as we as customer pay only for new versions in form of Upgrades, it is

RE: Re-Disappointed
Davinci Resolve has the might of a hardware manufacturer trying to sell their products with it, so they are able to pour in much bigger budgets into its development. Even with all of that, the interface sucks and it crashes often, in addition to it

RE: Some thoughts on a video specific camera (mid to late 2019 purchase)
I'm eyeballing the BlackMagic, but if stabilization is what you need, the Gh5 is a fantastic camera. It never ceases to amaze me what it can do. The HDR capability is a big plus, especially moving forward over these next few years as it becomes

Vegas Pro HDR Creations
I know I already have a "post your Vegas creations" thread, but I figured I'd make one specifically for HDR so that people who are looking for HDR demo content do not have to dig through pages of posts to find some Here is a collection of timelapses

RE: I won this processor so now what?
I actually went towards the more "pro" style, 10 bit Black Magic card. I have to admit I am not really up to speed on Cards, I bought an AMD latest offering a couple of years ago, the thing was as big as a boat, I swear, and had to almost bang out

RE: VEGAS Pro 15 Update 6 (build 384) - General Discussion
I don't think the hardware is flawed as I have no issues using other accelerated programs like Lightroom. The only OS crashes I have had are with Vegas 15. So I think Windows 10 and NVIDIA cards aren't a good match for Vegas and especially not

RE: [Closed] VEGAS 16 hint
Thet idea that VEGAS is unmatched for Audio among NLEs is a relic, and completely inaccurate. There are NLEs out there that have handily surpassed it. Resolve is one of them, so I'm laughing at fr0sty's post. It doesn't seem to be written by anyone

@Trensharo Can you try, JUST ONCE, to make a positive contribution to the forum instead of a negative, combative one? @Dexcon Thanks for posting that. "Storyboarding" would potentially be a big help for me - I think magix should create a killer

RE: Vegas Pro 15 and GTX 1080Ti performance drop??
I have a 1080 card and I use Vegas without GPU acceleration. It's faster, but still slow (with Blackmagic ProRes and 32bit project settings)

RE: [Closed] VEGAS 16 hint
I bought a BlackMagic Mini Monitor 4K, and I use that to connect to my LG 50'' OLED TV (2017 series, fantastic displays!). The card can pass through HDR signals to the TV, and (at least with Resolve) when I connect to the TV, the HDR logo appears on

RE: How do I add a image or gif to a moving green screen?
To replace a green screen with another image, you would use chroma-keying, and Vegas Pro has a chroma-keyer in Video FX. There are a lot of tutorials on YouTube about chroma-keying in Vegas Pro - just go to YouTube and search 'chroma key Vegas Pro'

HDR Workflow Guide
So, I've successfully managed to make a HDR video that actually triggers my TV into HDR mode. While I did not use Vegas to do it (it was a timelapse), it is quite possible (I think, at least, more on that below.) to use Vegas as the starting point

RE: Blackmagic Mini Monitor 4K (PCI-E 4x) & 10 Bit over HDMI
I tried it out... over display port, I couldn't even get 4K after the patch (that said, I was adapting DP back to HDMI, and it is very possible the DP adapter was not HDMI 2.0). I tried it over HDMI. Nvidia's control panel will now allow me to
