RE: Capturing HD Video Straight Into Vegas Pro 14 from a Camcorder
This may shed a little light on HD/4k capture for Vegas. https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/blackmagic-decklink-mini-monitor-unavailable--103158/#ca636147

RE: Capturing HD Video Straight Into Vegas Pro 14 from a Camcorder
Oops, sorry missed that. No, this is not for live capture. For live you will need a video capture card like a Blackmagic Design (although I am not sure which or if any of the models are supported by Vegas)

Vegas Pro 15 Suggestions to Developers
Dear Vegas Pro Developers Team, Vegas Pro is my favorite NLE of all times. Love it’s small footprint, speed, the new interface (and the old one as well), advanced DAW and compositing features, and much more. Sonic Foundry made a great start with

    RE: Waste money on Vegas?
The frame rate is a clip property. How could an XML table have influence on it? Ask them - not me. Why when I export XML from Vegas and import it into DaVinci all my clips with 50fps are gone. I was talking with Blackmagic support and we agreed that

    Audio on AVI is missing
Vegas does not seem to be able to open BlackMagic avi files. Same issue as described in this post : https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/movie-studio-13-24-bit-pcm-audio-support--101772/ Video and no audio on the timeline, and a message

RE: AVI files not including audio.
What was the source? It is for sure not meeting a standard. BlackMagic media express software off an intensity pro. I have been using it for years and had no issues until vegas 14 and just ignored it because most of my projects don't use source

RE: [Closed] VEGAS Pro Price Watch
Fusion is a node based compositing and fx software which travelled from eyeon to Maya to Blackmagic. So it is available via Blackmagic Design now.Β

RE: Does Vegas work with any external preview cards?
Both Vegas Pro 14 and 15 work here fine with Blackmagic Decklink Cards - both with the 6G and the 12G Card. Make sure that you have the latest Blackmagic Driver installed.

Does Vegas work with any external preview cards?
I recently added an internal Blackmagic Design Decklink Card 4K to my workstation. It appears in the device choices under the "preview device" tab but says unavailable when I choose it. Didn't Vegas used to work with Blackmagic cards? Thanks, Marc

With all these crashes and problems, I almost thought I was on the Blackmagic Design forum! 😁 Funny you must be referring to the Resolve beta where crashes are expected. I just bought Resolve and have edited a few projects already. Must say it's

    RE: Judder after rendering video!
Try disabling resampling on all media clips (I think you can do it in the project media settings rather than having to do it clip by clip). I had issues with REALLY bad judder with video from a BlackMagic Cinema cam, and that fixed the problem.

RE: Laptop for running newest Vegas?
I have this hideous suspicion that Apple might be a better option for laptop editing. Someone please tell me I'm wrong. You're wrong... πŸ˜‰ I actually use what many consider an old Dell Precision M4500 with Vegas Pro 13 - I was able to upgrade the CPU

Not sure what AE features you are after, perhaps let us know. You can distinguish two aspects of video editing, the technical and aesthetic. Aesthetic, Walter Murch "In the Blink of an Eye" remains pretty standard. Technical, there are plenty of AE

RE: where can i find pro-level editing tutorial
Agreed. I tried Premier trial nearly 10 years ago and found it so clunky and user unfriendly that I gave it a big miss - and my NLE at the time was the consumer level Ulead VideoStudio. Eventually, Vegas Pro was much better for me. I've not tried

RE: Vegas 15 - XML bug. Davinci media offlines
Nope! It's not alright. I was talking with blackmagic support why clips with 50fps and 25fps are like media offline when DaVinci is supporting mixed framerates. So the thing is - that Sony Vegas have something wrong with XML export because the same

Incidentally what system does Blackmagic use with Resolve? Whatever it is in their Studio 14 version, it doesn't seem to have worked.

A permanent connection is absolut NOGO for me. Sporadic/periodic connection is NOGO for me. My limit is reverification with updates and I find even that a nuisance. What evidence is there that such verification stops piracy, anyway? Incidentally

RE: OT: Blackmagic Video Assist Compatibility
Without first hand experience with the device in question... many, if not all of those formats you mention are supported by Vegas. Of course, I suppose BlackMagic could muck them up, but my guess is that at least some of those formats would work.
