RE: Transmitting video signal to another room
Agreed with Mike that hard wiring with Cat 6 and baluns is a solution well worth looking into. A few provisos though ... depending on the installation based on hardware, 2 runs of Cat 6 is generally recommended for each balun - but Cat 6 is not

RE: Smart Rendering in a Batch with FFmpeg (GH4 etc.)
"This thread seems more like something for CC-FFMPEG forum or at least the Vegas Scripting Forum." I agree with you if it was still in development, and I did post an early version of the script in the Scripting forum when I needed help (and didn't

RE: @blazer - I believe DV was 601 and not 709. 709 came out with HD codecs. Wiki: "DV uses lossy compression of video while audio is stored uncompressed.[2] An intraframe video compression scheme is used to compress video on a frame-by-frame

RE: Audio Pan updated ?
Thanks Steve, it was a "hearing- it" issue . . . .which I resolved a few minutes ago....by playing a Rendered foley-sound of brid-flight as the little perisher managed to get into a panned sequence. I thought this would still work OK with the

Unbelievable, I went back to V12 and the script isn't working; doing the same thing as reported in this thread. C:\Program Files\Sony\Vegas Pro 12.0>for /F %i in ("C:\frameserver\vegas.avs\vegas.avi") do if %~zi GTR 160000 goto

Just went through all this and having the same problem, I think. Does the Mount Failure dialog you are all getting say "The file could not be mounted." ? If so, that's also what I'm getting. I tried the latest version 178 and then 170. The 178

RE: Lanc controller for Sony HDR cx900
I am cheating. I bought a used Sony VCT-80AV Tripod of eBay just to get the LANC controller and fixed that to the AX100 with the adapter cable and made an adapter to fit it to my trusted tripod. Was a bit of work but that on works very well; no

"I cannot find the actual download link for AviSynth 2.6 as there are so many links that take me all over the place and back again. When I eventually find 2.6 is it as simple as just installing version 258?" Standard AviSynth 2.6_RC3 is here (the

RE: VegastoHandBrake installation
I see there are two cases which could throw a mount failure message. - One is AviSynth is not working (correctly). - The other one is the file mount systems failed to register the AVS file. Both cases causes same error message. So I'd suggest

RE: VegastoHandBrake installation
To those who are having problems, it is most likely is due to the fact that using the network for the delays does not always work. It is quite possible that on a new install that what used to work may not work now. So I had modified the *.bat files

RE: Sony Vegas Pro 12 Slow Preview
I run Win 8.1 and just rely on Windows Defender, with a periodic scan with Malware Bytes. AV software has always been a serious system overhead, that has gotten better with more CPUs and faster CPUs. I was going to say check to make sure your

OT:Frameserve to Handbrake (aspect ratio is off)
Hi, I'm using V12 with Handbrake V 0.10.0.6534 with debugmode (frameserver). I've been using the one-click to Handbrake method as described here: here I've got everything almost working except that the file that handbrake produces in 4:3

RE: Capturing DV-AVI via Vegas
One other thing to consider is "restoration." No matter how good your deck and capture card, you are still dealing with crummy consumer analog video. It will be full of both luma and chroma noise, and will look very fuzzy, especially now that

RE: How to render MPEG2 Blu-ray with Audio
@Stringer It is faster on my system too. I use Vegasaur to render the MPEG2 and AC3 in one go; put both into DVDA and there is no additional processing in DVDA other then preparing the disc image (BD) or disk folders (DVD). But yes, the total

I had to read your workflow several times to understand what problem you are trying to solve. You are still encoding using the MainConcept MPEG-2 encoder in Vegas, so you aren't overcoming any limitations in that part of the workflow. Instead, it
