RE: AMD Firepro GPU's ok?
IMO, I think being optimized for OpenCL has been a weakness for Vegas... All those nVidia GPU's out there and Vegas really can't utilize them... Adobe, Avid and Blackmagic have seen the light and made their apps work with both sides of the GPU line.

RE: PC refresh question
I don't need raid controllers, my system drive is faster than any SATA striped raid configuration can get and I clone my external drives often so the redundancy aspect of raid setups isn't needed either. I have my blackmagic decklink 4K card and

RE: Some thoughts on VPro after about a year of use....
Vegas 14 suite has turned out to be fantastic for the most part. Honestly I think the majority of the negativity is from people who see how fast and intuitive Vegas' UI is, and realize that if it just managed to get some modern features in (GH5 10

RE: Vegas 14 problems with High DPI aliasing and blurriness
The problem is with Vegas, not anyone's setup. But it's not important for me anymore, because I purchased DaVinci Resolve Studio for $300, and it's worked better than Vegas and Catalyst in many ways. They also develop quickly, and release major

RE: When Vegas Pro 15 ?
Nick, I know that it's chaotic, but I don't know what's better - starting a new thread for every single problem or trying to describe more problems in one thread. For getting response from support you have to wait...long... Maybe I'm unfair, but for

RE: Rendering a clip adds extra audio channels.
Hi, Thanks for the reply. While Capturing through Blackmagic Decklink Card, I want to set the Chroma SubSampling ( Compression Ratio ) to 4:2:2 and aspect ratio to 4:3 so that the rendered clip should have the above settings. Please suggest. Karan

RE: [Closed] Why Buy Vegas if Resolve is Free?
It looks like Blackmagic is trying to disrupt the NLE business. If I were to upgrade to Vegas 14 (which I still haven't done), it would cost me only $50 LESS than an outright purchase of the studio version of Resolve 14. There were two things have

RE: [Closed] Why Buy Vegas if Resolve is Free?
I think, this thread should be moved to "Off-topic." When, it comes to different NLE, it is mostly what you'r used to. Some of the points raised by some gentlemen are not quite accurate. I used Vegas and Resolve both. Vegas has its strength in

Now I understand why people get Resolve. And now I know why I get VP14. Amen. After reading this thread I went to the Resolve website and got very excited at what I saw. For one thing it runs on linux which is becoming important to me. Then I

RE: Pro14 aborts on Resolve and Media Composer Export
In view of all the issues you have with Prores, have you considered using Sony XAVC Intra? No ProRes rendering in 12 but the 3rd party codecs like Cineform all show up as they do in VP14. Just been taking another look at that list. There are

Not all cameras pass-through. I have a Digital 8 which did not no matter what I tried. If you have the Blackmagic, that would be your best quality. Use the Blackmagic software to capture and then edit in Vegas.
