    Vegas Pro 12 crashing
Vegas Pro 12 crashing, build 394 I found Vegas 11 64 bit fairly stable. v.12 crashes frequently, especially after "Save". It seems to work better if you give it at least 6 seconds to save. I need Real Player - It is missing. I cannot take a project

RE: get all my effects into PRO 12?
Yah! I can loadup my (owned) Sony Vegas Pro 11 32-bit version and use PRO to edit WITH the 32bit effects from my Sony Movie Studio HD Platnium (also owned). Guess I'll mothball SVP12 for a while - that thrill didn't last long. hahahhahaha! Kinda

RE: Ver 12 Worst release EVER
I've never posted here because I have never had any need or a desire to, but I was just a bit pissed off the other night. I apologize to everyone here, I am over my tantrum now. Been using Sony Vegas for years since it was sonic foundry, version 4

RE: Is it possible to use Vegas without it locking up?
I have a Power Mac and Final Cut Pro. I still prefer editing in Vegas as Vegas is more visual on the timeline. Making DVD's though is a different matter, Apple has much better content for making DVD's; also, FCP's titling options are much better

    RE: Crashes Fixed OMG!!!
Unfortunately this didn't do anything for me. I’ve removed transparency, turned off Aero, I’ve given up on GPU rendering long time ago, yet I cannot get a simple project to load. Only 3 minutes long, one video track containing 40-odd AVCHD clips

Vegas 12 and BCC7: no problem
I've seen scattered comments here and elsewhere about BCC7 not working within Vegas Pro 12, whereas BCC8 apparently does. I've used BCC7 with great success in Vegas Pro 11, so I wasn't relishing the loss of BCC7 upon the upgrade to Vegas

RE: Vegas 12- Turns off the Vegas 12 pro at work
Purely FWIW, since Vegas 11 introduced GPU assist it can work not as expected. When problems have occurred for me turning off GPU acceleration has made little or no difference for the most part -- an exception is MC AVC Blu-Ray encoding in Vegas Pro

RE: Vegas 12 Hangs or Crashes during Renders
Laurence, your suggestion worked for me. I have been searching for an answer to this problem since Vegas Pro 11, and yours is the first one that worked! I have 32GB of ram, so I had set my preview memory to 512MB and thought I had more than enough

Unable to IMPORT / READ MPG files without Errors
I've had this issue now for at least 2 years and NO ONE in customer support is able to resolve it for once and for all. I cannot read all my TIVO (SONY) mpgeg files or any others without crashes, Lost Audio, Lost Video or Unsynchronized audio to

Same problem here with 12. I was using 10 (although I bought 11 as soon as it came out) 11 was always crashing, 10 seemed to be more stable and would work for 30 minutes at a time, always giving me the .dll error and the cuda error. Today I made the

    NB Titler Pro
Sorry for a few basic questions. I am new to Vegas Pro 12. Yesterday I upgraded from MSP 12 to VP 12. The application crashed several times, it seemed, whenever I was applying the NB Titler Pro. So I checked the forum and learned that the update

    Constant Crashing

Vegas Pro 12 really screwed up... even Proxy files
OK, so I have been using Vegas 11 on my I7 3.00Ghz CPU, GTX 470 graphics card computer without any major issues... so along came version 12 and I upgraded. What a mistake, I have had nothing but crashes, I have tried the last 5 versions of drivers

RE: Vegas Pro 12 and New Blue Titler Pro
I've used Vegas since it was Vegas Pro for audio only back in 1999 or maybe it was 2000. Anyway, I've bought all the upgrades over the years and Vegas 12 was so cheap I reckoned why not. Tried to put a NewBlue title at the front of a clip...crash.

RE: Vegas Pro 12 and New Blue Titler Pro
I've had tons of crashes wtih NB Titler Pro with Vegas Pro 11 and 12. It tends to be a bit more stable when I disable GPU acceleration. I'm close to giving up, too.

deusx... I'm happy that your Vegas experience has been stable. And yes, I understand the need to be careful when recording audio on your PC. I rarely record audio with my PC and usually use camera's and external recording devices. I'll ask again:

    RE: Vegas 12 queries
Hey Jack We may have a few things in common. My machine has a 1 GB Radeon video card; recognized as Open CL by Vegas 12, but GPU rendering doesn't help much - it's actually slower. If you have the "right" video card - ie one that makes a difference

Vegas Pro 12 and New Blue Titler Pro
I have been editing with Vegas since version 3, so that is a long time. Fortunately, I eventually got V11, both 32 bit and 64 bit, working fairly well despite some early crashes. The New Blue Titler Pro that came as a freeby caused a lot of angst

RE: As expected, Vegas 12 is not stable...
Hi, I installed VP12 on a Win-8 (release preview) (64bit) notebook with a Nvidia GT 400M series card. Latest driver 306.23. Immediate crashes and lots of 'hangs' after install when I opened existing VP11 projects. After some tests I am thinking

RE: As expected, Vegas 12 is not stable...
Laz...two things: 1) yes, it sucks that VP12 (367) crashed pretty much the same way for me. 2) At least you live in Vancouver...I'm in Edmonton...think about that. 3) I'm finding VP11 (701) actually respectably solid. So much so that I managed an
