RE: NewBlue Titler Pro Software Update.
If you use the DirectX version, you WILL get a watermark unless you purchase a retail serial number. If you use the OpenFX version, there will be no watermark in Vegas Pro 11 but you will get a watermark in all other versions of Vegas unless you

After Some Changes, Pro 11 *Appears* To Be Stable
Tired of the ever more frequent crashing in Vegas Pro 11, I ordered a very cheap copy of Pro 10 from eBay, intending to replace the apparently still buggy later version until that one finally got debugged. Before loading Pro 10, though, I decided to

RE: "Initializing External Monitoring" lag
Steve, I have a similar issue on one PC here. Vegas 11 crashes every day on the first run I have exactly the same issue with VP11/683, but it is not always at the same point and it happens after each reboot of the PC. It's pretty well the only

RE: Vegas Pro11 Crashes but happy
Dave, I have a similar background as you, old (65), retired, and video is a hobby (passion). If Vegas crashes, it is an annoyance, but life goes on. On the other hand, some folks feed their family using Vegas, put their kids through college, and

Vegas Pro11 Crashes but happy
Mostly in life people report the things that are wrong & that is okay, particularly if its hard earned cash involved. A very low percentage of us give credit or mention when things work well. I am an amateur in video filming & editing,

Vegas Pro User Survey, July 2012 - feedback
Just received an invitation to fill out a Vegas Pro User Survey, which I did, but since there was no place to add additional comments, and no opportunity to reply to the email invitation itself, I'll just throw my additional comment here, in case

Vegas Pro 11 latest build keeps crashing
After reading the posts on the Sony forums, I guess I am not alone. I have several projects and wanted to give a more professional feel to my videos so I upgraded to Pro version from Home Studio. No matter what I do, the program crashes. It

RE: Graphic Artists Use Apple - VP to move over too?
Avid and PT have both, of course, been on PC for a very long time, as have ALL Adobe products for an even longer time, so I am not sure what the point of this list was, except to show how important the PC market was for all of these software

RE: OT: Specs for Dell M4600 Laptop
@Nick Hope: RAM... hard to say if 16GB will improve editing/rendering performance over 8GB. It might not. CPU is the biggie with Vegas. 8GB has been fine in my desktop with 10.0e and 4GB has been fine in my Dell laptop with 8.0e. Extra RAM helps if

RE: Will v11 be fixed before v12?
Yeah, I was silent for months because I saw others already talking about the issues. I figured SCS was aware and would sort things out. But even after the latest update, the trial crashed immediately, and Adobe Premiere CS6 was released, so I

RE: Will v11 be fixed before v12?
"If I push it though it will crash. I suspect that many of the people who aren't having problems aren't really pushing the program that much." I have rendered more than 70 Blu-ray images using the Sony AVC codec in Vegas Pro 11. All of those

Digifish, This really ought to be a sticky for VP11: [Link=https://www.custcenter.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/5097/kw/compatibility%20mode] The text: Vegas crashes when trying to use certain third party effects. My interpretation: The problem

RE: Testing v11 on fresh install
Since I was able to cause Vegas to crash every single time by opening a project, clicking Track FX, and deleting all plugins, I wanted to change various system settings to try to isolate the problem. It went away when using any Compatibility mode,

Vegas keeps crashing? RTFM!!! (Scolding myself)
Vegas kept crashing from 'minor' edits. Felt hopeless. Until I checked the Knowledge base link. Made my Vegas pro 11 compatible with Win 7 and poof, problem solved. Thought it might help someone struggling as I did.

RE: Testing v11 on fresh install
Well, for me, setting the Dynamic RAM preview to 0 and disabling the GPU acceleration has resulted in Vegas Pro 11 successfully rendering a 3D (SbS) AVC file with the NewBlue Titler enabled. I'm very grateful for the people who figured this

RE: Has anyone impartially compared Vegas & FCP X?
I have done quite extensive testing on FCPX. I could go on for hours on this topic but I will briefly sum it up in no perticular order and will be missing out on many features, adding to this thread, here is what comes to my mind.... It's a great
