  My Preview window is in slow motion somehow. I don't know how or why, but whatever video I put in it is in slow motion. It plays at about 1 second of video every 2 seconds. I checked the Playback Rate and it's perfectly normal. Not sure what to do.

  Duplicate video track. Use Cookie Cutter (Cut Away Section) on the top track. Resize the bottom track using Pan/Crop or Track Motion to zoom in on your subject. Border color, shapes, it's all there.
