    RE: OT: Comercial TV providers
I receive all of the local stations OTA with some difficulties. One of them is not enough power for PBS stations due to antenna management problems. The others have huge sound level problems and the levels vary from commercials being about 15 db

RE: Browser Opens By Itself--Need Help!
If it's what I think it is, you have two options. 1-Unplug from internet. System Restore to several days before it started. Clean browser cash and remove all cookies. Then run updated spybot, adaware, AV. 2-Format C:, reinstall

    RE: HELP WITH HDV CAPTURE
    1) make sure the camera is on, and in play mode. 2) make sure your firewire port is working on your computer. When you plug the cable in with the camera on you should hear a "ding" and a pop up message in the tasktray saying that new hardware is

RE: Upconverter DVD players and home video
Sometimes yes and sometimes no. Some of the players are poor, some are OK, and some are good. Some don't do very well with homemade videos, only with 24p. I would do a lot of research on these forums. I have a Cyberhome 655. It seems about as

    In what order to boot?
Do you have a referred way to booting up? During a Vegas session does this result in a any less or more successful working session? I've played with: 1/- Switch on Deck then turn on PC - I use my deck as a means of not only capturing, but it is

RE: 2 hour Brick Wall - Fave DVD Templates? Pleas
http://www.videohelp.com/calc.htm With 5 ave you should have room for the 1hr50min, but depending on how long your outtakes are, you might not have enough room at 5. Personally, I'd be doing 2 pass at 5. It really depends on your material as to

    RE: uncompressed AVI frame rates?
YUY2, RGB24 and RGB32 do seem to have both a processing and disk I/O "tax" when run through Vegas. For example NewTek had multiple realtime uncompressed and (mainconcept-DV or PICVideo aided) alternatives codecs running with full preview (on

I do in fact have the FFTW3.DLL file in there, so I have no idea why it keeps saying that. It's really frustrating. Yeah, you need to read the doc pretty closely. That file is supposed to be put in the SYSTEM32 folder, which you will find in your

RE: Output to video projector.... Advice please!
Wow, thanks. Great advice. I'll try the black menu DVD. But I think I'll add some subtle marks in the corners, or maybe a dark gray border on the black menu, just enough so the AV crew can see that the projector is ready. Then the 2 videos set as

I will second the vote for dvd players w/ an AV in. I found an Axiom at Radio Shack that is tablet-style (needed to flip for lens adapter). Definitely not a professional calibrated field monitor! We were using DV Rack, but this worked great for

Error msg & hang VMS 6.0a
I use VMS ver 60a bld 85. It produces error msgs, a variety, and hangs. I upgraded from 6.0 where I never had msgs or hangs. I completed a still photo project with text, menus, and music track OK and it will preview perfect on the new ver 60a.
