360 video
I know that Vegas 17 can create 360 video from cameras like the gopro but can Vegas take 360 footage and for lack of a better term un-warp it so it looks like normal 1920x1080 video where it could be then be manipulated by using the pan/crop tool to

.MP4 media is off-line - Movie Studio Platinum v 13.0
I am unable to edit the video and can't find a way to bring the media on-line. I have 12gb of ram but that doesn't seem to cause this issue with any other large video. So far I have determined that it could be that the .MP4 file was recorded in 4K.

RE: unusable program!
@David1776 So, you have a "Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020" compatible running system, but can't use Movie Studio 17? Hmmm, my signature, for one of my systems is a ThreadRipper 2950X, ROG X399-E Gaming, 64GB memory, Radeon VII, Windows 10,

RE: SuperSlow 4k, but nice and fast 2.7k rendering? Vegas 18
Ok, so I did the following test. Not super exact, but difference is so huge so I think it's ok. I filmed three clips, 10seconds each with a GoPro Hero 9 10secs 1080p 10secs 2.7k 10secs 4k Then I cut a second between 2-3secs and 6-7secs in each clip

When footage is GoPro than 4k is HEVC and 2k7 is AVC.

Perhaps share a screenshot of your render settings. Does the media, project and render framerate match? What is the source media? DJI or GoPro?Are you using the NVIDIA Studio driver?

RE: Hevc and ProRes Rendering compared on Vegas 17 & 18
Yes, there are a bunch of types that work and a bunch that don't. Vegas 16 reads TC from MP4 (GH5 and GoPro) - also Cineform and Grass Valley HQX. Cineform is "visually lossless" which can be handy; Grass valley is not AFAIK, but otherwise works

@FayFen here is a very short (~1.5sec) sequence captured at 240 fps with my GoPro Hero 8 Black to play with. Thanks

@FayFen regarding the codec, I included below the view from MediaInfo showing the information of a file generated by my GoPro 8 Black. I will share a short video file soon. Thanks.

Movie Studio 17.0 Platinum support for 240 fps slow motion
I have many sequences captured with a GoPro 8 Black in 1080p 240 fps. I can see that in the properties of a video event I can only slow down to 0.250 while 240 fps would require 0.125. However I read some post proposing to right click on the video

Vegas Pro random black screen rendering - Gopro and Waylens camera
Recently I obtained a Gopro Hero8 and Waylens Horizon dash cams. I'm a user of Vegas Pro 16, but the VP18 trial is giving me the same issues, so here we are. Rendering video from any other cameras, such as from my phone, works fine on my main

As a native English speaker working in a non-English speaking country, I agree with the above. I try to be precise with terms and avoid idioms and assume good intentions even when comments seem rude or abrupt. Not sure language is the primary issue

RE: Problem previev & rendering GoPro8
Thank you, the original is progressive. What do you think, HD50p or HD25P can be done? I think try capturing (setting GoPro) to HD 25p or 4K 25p, use the highest bit rate it supports, lower sharpening and see how the rendered files from Vegas look.

RE: Problem previev & rendering GoPro8
50p looks smoother than 25p (of course), but it's not a normal frame rate to output to as it looks too smooth for many shots.I think 25p works here and if you changed GoPro settings to reduce the excessive sharpness that make the aliasing stand out,

RE: Problem previev & rendering GoPro8
Here is the file at HD 50p if you want it output at that frame rate for some reason: link If it were me I'd only shoot 50p for slow motion. Here's half the clip on a 25p timeline (so 50% slow motion.) This time I rendered with Voukoder and the

RE: Problem previev & rendering GoPro8
Hey MusicVid , always wherever i work, be it Adobe or Edius, videos recorded in 4K, rendered to HD are better, have improved sharpness, and so on. They must be better because that's the math of pixels, not worse than with Gopro. You don't have to

@Piotr-Diszer It is important not to blame Vegas for your own problems. Don't render progressive footage as interlaced. Here's an example of the original footage rendered as HD 25p link The source footage is overly sharp (turn that down in the GoPro

RE: Problem previev & rendering GoPro8
@Piotr-Diszer Vegas doesn't "upscale" from 4k to HD. That would be a 75% reduction, or "downscale." As I said before, Vegas uses the original GoPro 4k footage to render. It does not do anything with the proxy. Once that is understood, you are

I agree with you EricLNZ. When I crop Gopro8 materials in a project with 4096 x 2160 to 1980 cropping effect, after rendering the quality of the Gopro footage on the finished movie is acceptable. The effect you wrote about, softening will help. But

This is what a fragment of the finished movie looks like in the place where the Gopro8 material is. In spite of the pre-rendering and proxy files, the inter-line interference is clearly visible. Any of you have practical wisdom, what am I doing
