  That sometimes can be an issue when video is captured in a format that does not sit well with Vegas, example variable frame rates captured video files etc or some screen capture devices..... If these are gaming capture, try different capturing

  @Reyfox The link is to an html web page. When I click on it in my FireFox browser, there's a download link in the upper right corner of the web page that comes up. OP would get better feedback uploading the media clip itself the same way.

  Can't provide reasons why but there's one commonly known method that should work if you like the preview: screen capture. Try previewing full screen and capturing with your video card manufacturer's facility if you can't get Vegas capture to work.
