RE: Your opinions on "codec packs" please ....
Back in 32 bit world I've got few troubles with K-Lite codec and formats I used in Vegas. It had mp3 codecs that never worked in Vegas, it got h264 encoder from ffdshow that had some troubles with Vegas (in some installs it's unworking ghost, in

I am having the EXACT SAME problem as him, only difference is I am using the DxTory Codec from DxTory when I am trying to record video games. I don't know what FRAPS uses, but Movie Studio 13 has the exact same problem as the DxTory Codec. I

RE: Blank Video Clips Only After Movie Studio Renders
Thanks for the response, Steve. That upper video track was a good starting point but no, there are none there (at least in the area at issue). I'm using Fraps at 30fps (29.7pfs actually) which writes to an .avi file which is what I import into

RE: Having an unexpectedly hard time with Movie Studio
Your in-game resolution is not youtube-friendly, if you upload 1920*1200, you movie will end up in letterboxed view. It might also cause some problems with renderers in movie studio as this resolution is not standard FullHD res. 1. Keep same fps in

RE: Settings for master & upload nVIDIA ShadowPlay?
From what I've seen shadowplay produces main profile h264 files in 4:2:0 YUV with computer RGB levels. Generally you do the same as you do for fraps: 1. Project in 8-bit, studio gamma, with progressive scan (fields order: none), square pixel,

Settings for master & upload nVIDIA ShadowPlay?

I use videos recorded via FRAPS (either at 29.97 fps or 60 fps) . . . If your source footage is 29.97i or 60p, you might want to try a Movie Studio template that matches the properties of the media rather than using a 24p template. Do you

I'm confused, do you mean convert the FRAPS avi file in Movie Studio and then put it in DVD Architect Studio? I use FRAPS to record my playthroughs of PC games, I don't know how to record this with Movie Studio/Vegas. How do I do that? Also, I've

RE: Problems with video after making a blu-ray disc
I would never recommend using FRAPS video as source video for DVD Architect! You should use Movie Studio or Vegas for your raw video. Especially when it uses a non-camcorder codec, like FRAPS does. With DVD Architect, stick with DVD-ready MPEGs

Problems with video after making a blu-ray disc
I am using DVD Architect Software 5.0 (Windows 7 64-bit OS). I use videos recorded via FRAPS (either at 29.97 fps or 60 fps) and the videos play fine when I add them to the project and when I preview them (and when I play the video file on my PC).

Stevos758 1) Set no more than 30 fps in fraps*. Youtube will not show more than 30.000 fps anyway. If you are not comfortable in-game with this fps you can turn off lock framerate and v-sync in fraps settings. 2) Tweak project settings in Vegas to

RE: Need help with redering 1680x1050
One thing you should do is set the render frame rate at exactly 30fps (not 29.97) progressive, and set all your timeline events to "Disable Resample." That will eliminate interframe blurring, of which there is a lot in your samples. Your other

Post the complete fraps video properties using MediaInfo from Sourceforge. Also tell us what you are seeing specifically that is "lower quality" in Vegas. Remember, we haven't seen your source, so nothing to compare.

Search "match media settings" on the forum and the Sony knowledgebase. Your problems will be solved. Also, the Fraps forums have a body of knowledge for using their source in Vegas. Best of luck.
