    Imported Video Becomes Pixelated?
Recently when I import videos to Sony Vegas, the video quality becomes pixelated. I record the content with Bandicam and when I replay the original MP4 it runs perfectly and flawlessly. Immediately when I put it onto Sony Vegas to edit, it becomes

Advice needed for filming Behringer X touch
I want to make a tutorial showing how the Behringer X Touch works with Samplitude Pro X3. I will be capturing the Samplitude screen using Bandicam and also capturing a WebCam (Logitech C920) focused on the Behringer. The problem I am having it's

    Video Pro X MP4 4K render vs Vegas 15 MP4 4K Render.
I make tutorials for Samplitude and have been using Video Pro X for a long time to edit and author them. I used to use Camtasia Studio but it was just too unreliable. Recently I started rendering them in 4K. This is purely for my YouTube channel

[Closed] (FAQ) Why won't VEGAS open my file correctly? Codecs, Converters etc.
Although VEGAS will open and play many media formats with its native decoders, other types of media cause issues such as: Additional codecs must be installed The media opens but appears corrupt (e.g. black frames, green frames, artifacts) Only the

RE: Codecs that are not supported
Bandicam footage generally causes problems in Vegas, so presumably Bandicut might too. AVC video in an AVI file (which your MediaInfo report shows) is unconventional. AVC video in an MP4 file would more likely be supported natively by Vegas if

RE: Rendering and Preview Quality (Flashing and Pixelation)
I downloaded a bunch fro myoutube videos to see if they would fix it, can't figure how to remove them. Vegas generally does not like the video produced by a lot of game/screen-recording programs/formats such as Fraps, Bandicam, Wirecast, Action!,

RE: Rendering and Preview Quality (Flashing and Pixelation)
Vegas generally does not like the video produced by a lot of game/screen-recording programs/formats such as Fraps, Bandicam, Wirecast, Action!, DXtory. OBS Studio records more standard x264/MP4 video that Vegas happily plays with it's built-in

    RE: Video Overlay Static
Treading the same path as John here... I downloaded your project but the FICV format AVI files do need an extra codec, which presumably got installed for you with Action! The other apps you mention, Bandicam and Fraps, are also notorious for causing

    RE: Video Overlay Static
I use Action! as well to record my screen but I've also had this problem with Fraps, Bandicam and a few other screen capturing programs over the years.  It's a very strange problem because it won't happen all the time and it also will change

RE: VP14 Get's error opening file.
I wonder if Catalyst Browse will help with opening other problem files, like Bandicam footage etc.. Feels like a better product to direct users to than some of the other freeware converters like Freemake Video Converter.

I don't research too much with gaming/screen recorders, but how about Xsplit? I only know very few, even though I have successful experience using OBS to record my screen (for one tutorial many times ago). Bandicam has weird codec and recorded

RE: Vegas detects wrong colour depth for certain codecs
I think I might have found something useful as to why Vegas detects wrong colour depth, in particular for the x264vfw codec. Through testing with MediaInfo, I can see that Vegas will fail to detect the correct colour depth if the video clip lacks

RE: Vegas - no preview after restart
Thanks for help, I converted those AVIs to MP4 with Freemake Video Converter, then replaced in Vegas and it worked. AVIs were recorded with Bandicam. It would be nice if it was problem only with files from Bandicam, but I think it isn't. Some time

RE: Vegas - no preview after restart
It says it's from Bandicam, which is a screen/game recorder. And that is exactly the problem - it is not from a camera, but Vegas was build to edit camera footages. So I agree with you that the solution will be a kind of conversion with a 3rd party

RE: Vegas - no preview after restart
It says it's from Bandicam, which is a screen/game recorder. One solution found here is to try to rewrap the files to MP4 using ffmpeg: http://ffmpeg.zeranoe.com/builds/ Usage: ffmpeg.exe -i "input file.avi" -vcodec copy -acodec copy "output

RE: Videos transcoded with Handbrake are gamma boosted
It appears not. I had thought so last night but sadly, I still had NVENC enabled in Bandicam when I was doing that testing. Serves me right for messing with this stuff well past my bed time. :) It's a bummer that HEVC isn't presently supported but

RE: Videos transcoded with Handbrake are gamma boosted
I was originally using NVENC H.264 which puts most of the capture load on my GPU (a GTX 970 which can more than handle it) but the file sizes were insane and I wasn't able to work with them on the timeline in Vegas Pro without it struggling to keep

RE: Videos transcoded with Handbrake are gamma boosted
So I discovered something else interesting. When I capture with Bandicam, I was usually doing it as AVI. I tried changing the container to MP4 since that's what the archival footage I encode with Handbrake changes into anyway. When I import a

RE: My Aspect Ratio in Vegas 11 keeps messing up
Certainly. My source clips are coming from a Bandicam, a screen capture program that captures my video games. The clips are 1920x1200. Perhaps if I changed the captured images to 1920x1080 the problem would go away if I made sure to match the
