@Sr_Garcia  ... you are not alone. Same here ... and I really like having the button colors bright red especially the Ripple button.

RE: How does the Vegas CG define shadows / mids/ highs?
Try dropping the media generator for a gradient on the timeline and see how the 3 way color corrector and relative color wheels affect the image. The latter lets you set thresholds.

RE: What can I do to speed up 4K render?
@RogerS: using the color grading panel versus adding LUT filter and Color Fixer Pro filter speeds up rendering significantly; like up to 10 fps faster. Thanks for that! :)

RE: When will there be a real color grading module on Vegas?
I used DaVinci's for color grading for years, exporting luts to Vegas to do the rest of the editing there. By vp20, I stopped doing that because Vegas cgp was just as good. There are still a few things missing, like the built-in color chart layout

RE: Magix video for color grading
They are just adjusting luminance using curves and then adding saturation globally. You can do much more than this in the color grading panel!

[Solved] Is there an in-timeline visual cue for slow motion clips?
I have a project from a colleague that is not my normal workflow, with random clips recorded at double the framerate. Slow motion may be useful on some but not others, so I'm wondering if I simply move everything to the timeline, can there be any

RE: Magix video for color grading
YouTube Shorts have a maximum length of 3 minutes so there's only so much that can be covered in 3 minutes - effectively Shorts are snapshots. If you want a more in-depth YT video about color grading in Vegas Pro 23, go to VEGAS Creative Software's

[Solved] Building Proxy in Vegas 22
I imported a 4K 60fps GoPro 11 video into my newly installed Vegas 22. When I right click the imported video and choose create proxy, it gets to about 7% and then crashes. Message says that Vegas Pro has stopped working and offers the option to send

    RE: MP4 or MOV files
@younso said: "What am I missing?" You're missing the concept that the act of rendering is distilling whatever you have as inputs to a pixel dimensions, frame rate, bit rate and color space to match the pixel dimensions, frame rate, bit rate and

[Solved] Multi-cam project edit worked superb but ColorGrading Panel unusable
I've just completed the most advanced editing project I have ever done. A 1 hour multi-camera edit with 6 cameras, all 4K but using Vegas generated proxy files. I have to say I was amazed how well it all worked. To be honest I expected it to be

RE: What color are yours project notes?
But I want to have EVERY track in the same colour. And I DON'T WANT to have "color notes" in the same colour. Why "color of tracks" changes color of "notes"? Thy 1st affects 2nd?

RE: VEGAS Pro 23 build 278 General Discussion
@digilyd Out of the shrink rap is 8-bit full, so not 32-bit full with ACES.The only other difference is VEGAS can now for the first time correctly read color spaces other than the standard Rec709 and Rec2020 ones. If that's causing unexpected issues

RE: Reverse event background color in VP 23?
I checked options under track colors. Not there, either. The yellow outline was in 22, so that's not a "replacement" feature. I just really like my audio on white.

RE: VEGAS Pro 23 build 302 General Discussion
In version 23, as shown in the picture, there is a color banding issue. This happens when applying curves in color grading. The problem still persists even in version 307. It does not occur in version 22.   @JML I'd like to test exactly what

    Bad handling ProRes XQ4444 files

@Dexcon Thanks for the sample. I put it on a DR20 5312x2988p25 Timeline and it plays butter smooth even with applied stabilization (DR needed about 5 sec to stabilize the clip). Also applying a cut/crossfade and a color correction didn't hamper the

That indicates that you have Auto-Ripple turned on. A couple of years ago, this was a highly requested feature to highlight that Ripple was 'on'. Beforehand and without such red highlighting, timelines could be totally stuffed up by Ripple
