RE: Vegas 7 and TC Powercore FW survey
My experience is that I've been waiting for more than 3 years for Sony to do whatever is needed to make both the UAD-1 and Powercore work with Vegas so I can purchase one or both. These units have essentially become mandatory for any serious

RE: OT - HD Media Player
Joran, I just tried Zoom. I like the clean interface but... - It would not play M2T files or HD uncompressed AVI. Maybe this is a Pro feature? - I couldn't get it to open full screen and play the video at 100% by default. It always opens in a

RE: Writing DVD's that will work
Can you be more specific Leslie? What kind of glitch? Is it also on the Vegas timeline, or the Mpeg 2, or just on the authored DVD? Is it an audio "flatline" that you can zoom in on the timeline for

Glitchy video repair
I recently shot a 60 minute ice skating show and asked a second camera person to help. I gave him two of my tapes (Sony DVM60EXL) which he used in his Panasonic camera. When I played his tapes back on my Sony DCR-TRV900, there was image tearing and

purchase advice?
I presently have a 2001 Sony Vaio Pentium 4 1.8 GHz, 512 MB ram, that works ok but doesn't accomodate a second monitor for editing. I'm hoping that a new, separate computer, used only for editing, without anything on it but Vegas + DVD, will give

RE: Raw HDV for download
You can also change the file ending from m2t to tp and view them on the MY-HD video card to an HDTV. But in my case some of them were a bit glitchy. JJK

Problem Decoding MPEG 2
Hi. I'm trying to use a raw DVD vob file in vegas, however decoding of the file seems kind of glitchy. There are frequent jumps (both in preview and render), and data from other parts of the vob file appearing in where it shouldn't be. Oddly these

RE: Vegas 5 Audio Glitches
I'll trow in a thought. How does poor cache flushing sound to you guys? It seems something (Vegas itself?) occupies/steals memory from the playback process. When you loop the glitchy area it seems to behave exactly as when you do a dynamic RAM

Vegas 5 Audio Glitches
I have been a user of Vegas for several years now, but I am a recording studio; I never really venture into the video aspect of the program except to maybe edit a little home movie or to convert an mpeg. I have become so used to the editing style

RE: How to use timelapse from a camcorder.
I have posted a script in the script forum that will keep only the last "n" frames from each event on a selected video track. "n" is usually set to one. This will give you true time lapse from your camcorder "time lapse" captures, with no

RE: Capture Old S-VHS leaves lines on video.
This is quite normal. Analog video doesn't quite fill the DV frame, and it often has glitchy things around the edge. I usually crop the top and bottom 4 pixels on analog clips.

Capture Old S-VHS leaves lines on video.
I plugged in my old JVC S-VHS into my Sony VX-2000 and recorded desired clips to DV. I didn't see any problem with the copied scenes. I placed them on the timeline in VV and when I play them there is a black bar covering several pixels on the left
