You'll have to excuse me for coming in so late to this discussion.
I tried the test, and yes it did stutter, skip, woble, etc.. So I rendered it to a new track--once as mxf 50Mbps(CBR) and once as mxf 35Mbps(VBR). Both skipped across the screen.
This came as a total surpise, and disappointment, to me. I had presummed once it was rendered to a "native format" for the NLE the stutter would disappear when played. Obviously I was mistaken!
The solution posted there was to change the refresh rate for your monitor using the settings for your video card (i.e., a setting outside of Vegas)
I realize that LCD monitors no longer have the same concept of refresh rate that we had back then with CRT monitors, but I have found that some video card drivers still allow different settings for this. I strongly recommend you look at yours and see if you can change this and, if so, if changing it makes a difference.
John, my PC monitor is a Samsung SyncMaster 245BW (which I'm not all that thrilled with).
According to NVidia's control panel, it has only two refresh rates--59Hz and 60Hz. Currently, it's set to 59Hz. Why? I dunno. That's the one the drivers selected I imagine.

All I am saying (and what I posted in that link I supplied above) is that if you are having the stutter or tearing problem that was the problem described in the original post in this thread, then you should try changing that refresh rate, in your case from 59 to 60.
