1/2 D1 for DVDA2?

Using VV5 I am rendering captured VHS video to MPEG2 for DVDA2. The template for DVD Architect is 720x480. I want to use 352x480.

I figured I would just edit the template to output the resolution that I want. When rendering it squishes the video in the preview window.

So I have a few questions. Has anyone done this succesfully? If so how should I edit the template. Will DVDA even accept it?

In the DVDA2 manual under preparing video for DVDA it lists 4:3 352X480 and 352X420 so I assume that it will.

I just tried it and yes, it works just fine.

When rendering it squishes the video in the preview window.
Don't worry about it. It'll look OK on a TV set.

How should I edit the template?
Render As > MPEG2 > Custom > Video
Make the changes you want (video height to 352)
In the Template box, change the heading to whatever you want.
In the Description box, change the Video size to match.

...the DVDA manual lists 352X420...
The DVDA manual is wrong.
Sony, if you're reading this, please correct the manual on p. 22.
Allowable picture resolutions are:
MPEG-2, 525/60 (NTSC): 720x480, 704x480, 352x480, 352x240
MPEG-2, 625/50 (PAL): 720x576, 704x576, 352x576, 352x288

I rendered a small clip and it does look fine in DVDA. Thanks for the reply. It's working fine. Hopefully I will end up with a smaller file rendering at this resolution.
