1 fix for out of synch audio

I just spent hours attempting to render an important video that was rendering okay until it suddenly lost its audio synch. Here's what finally worked (and saved part of my weekend and the hair I still have left after pulling much of out).

Use ctrl A to select the project, then ctrl C to copy it. Close SF without saving. Open SF to a new project, MAKE CERTAIN THAT YOU SELECT MEDIA POOL, and hit ctrl V to paste the files you copied. Everything should copy okay with the exception of the title text which shows up as the default "Sample Text." Save the file with a new name and hopefully it will synch as expected.(Thanks to Lance from SF who told me how to cut and paste in SF for a totally different reason than rendering.)

Hope it works for you.

Peter

Just for those that may not be aware the following keyboard shortcuts are standard Windows fare and should work in any Windows application.

Ctrl + C = copy
Ctrl + V = paste
Ctrl + X = cut

Thanks for posting this, I have lost friday night and saturday all day - only to find out that my rendered work is ALL video/audio out of sync! Two day's work! Jesus Christ...

Although tempted, I'll not diclose what my opinion is about Sonic Foundry Video Factory ver. 2.0 right now.

I never had this problem with previous version. Well, I guess I got little to hasty with upgrading!

Correction - rendered files are ok, it's the new Video Capture "print to tape" doing this...

True enough. However, unlike, say, Word, Excel, etc., you can't copy files , close the program, open another and paste the material using VF except, for some reason, if the Media pool is selected.
