1 Gig menu limit......help

In the "make DVD" dialogue I get "The estimated total size of all menu's is greater than the maximum of 1GB". This is accompanied with a red !. I have three menu's with the main menu having a still image background and an 8 second PCM wave file audio. The total file size for all three menu's is 1.4 Gig. the bitrate is 8mbps-default. I have the 1.0b version. Is this the problem?
In the "Optimize" the media used for all three menu audio is PCM (from vegas 4), and the media used for all three menu video is mpg2 (also rendered from vegas 4).

How do I get the red ! to go away without compromising the bitrate. It will go away with an adjustment to +/- 5mbps.
Also, this limitation is only for the menu's, not the actual media within them, correct?

Thanks, CRH

There was a bug in the a and b versions that caused DVD-A to duplicate the assets in your project if you didn't immediately associate an audio file with the video file. The fix I believe is in the "c" update but I'm not sure if the fix actively corrects your exisiting project or if it simply doesn't cause the problem from happeing in the future.

Another way to fix your problem is to simply re-assign all of the media that is on the pages that are causing the problems. Go to the modify links section and delete the video and audio associations and then immediately re-assign video and audio.

All menus are limited to 1GB because the maximum file size on a DVD is 1GB. Yes, it can contain multiple 1GB files but, I believe, a menu has to be totally in ONE 1GB file.
