1 MB Question

Magic Bullet for editors – Does anyone know how to use masks or transparences with MB? All I get is black in the masked or alpha areas.

I do have media below on the lower tracks – When I apply any MB filter the alphas & masked areas go to black.

So I see the footage on the track below UNTIL I add MB<<<

Thank you for any help!

In V5 how do I get the “looped region” to go away by clicking else where in the timeline?

Options - Preferences - Editing tab - check "Collapse Loop Region"

Are you using the right track composite mode?

Track 1: Mask with Sony Mask Generator on the mask and track set to "Multiply (Mask)"
Track 2: Child of track 1 containing mask video
Track 3: Background Video

What composite mode do I use?
I use source alpha – using MB I get black when there is any alpha channel present or a mask.
Not sure what composite mode would help….

Jetdv thank you for the: check "Collapse Loop Region"- I was about to snap. :>

Sounds like things are working fine. If there's nothing on the time line, you'll see black. The see-through alpha region will show-through. If there's nothing there (in the alpha area) , you'll see black.

Try placing a generated media solid color (other than black, unless that's what you want) on a track under your material with the alpha channel. You should see the solid color where you have your alpha channel.
