10.0c Splash Screen crash

hoodoo wrote on 1/18/2011, 12:07 PM
Vegas 10.0b 64-bit ran fine on my Windows 7 desktop. From double-click to timeline it was like 5 seconds. I couldn't be happier with my new desktop build and Win7 64 + Vegas Pro 10 640bit.

Then I updated to 10.0c. Now Vegas will not get past the splash screen. It gets to "Creating file I/O manager..." and I get the Windows box stating "Vegas Pro has stopped working"

Nothing has change on this box except Vegas. I have uninstalled Vegas and even DVDA 5.2 just to make sure all Sony files were removed. Rebooted and reinstalled Vegas. Same thing.

So I have two requests:
1. Help!
2. Where can I safely download 10.0b again so I can get a working copy of Vegas back.

Older versions of all SCS software are available at http://download.sonymediasoftware.com/current/

Awesome. Thanks for the link. I posted this 5 days ago in the Windows 7 forum with no response and even submitted a request to Sony. Nothing.

With that link I downloaded 10.0b and all is well again. Thanks a lot. Works like a charm.

I ran into the same issue with Vegas Pro v10c (both 32-bit and 64-bit), but under Vista 64-bit. I have a ticket open on it, but no response from Sony as of yet.

I reverted back to v10a, which is what I had been running without any real issues.
