1001 sound effects - where?

Sony's MS ordering/upgrade page says, "Download the complete application, 1,001 sound effects, ...". What are they referring to? I can't find any sound effects, either via the application, in the help files, or in my Movie Studio install directory. Are they talking about the ExpressFX effects? If so, the use of '1,001' is certainly a clever bit of marketing.

There is a separate CD that contains the sound effects. If you downloaded the upgrade then it sounds like they still haven't made that CD part of the download. Back a few months ago you could request the "extra" CDs to be shipped to you at no cost. Just submit a request via the tech support request page.

Thanks. So the download offer is incorrect... I'll get the CD.

I checked the CD - no sound effects. I checked my install directory (I ordered the download upgrade) - no sound effects. Looks like these are not included either as part of the normal download OR as part of the CD. You get to download them one group at a time. If you want all of them you're looking at around 120MB. At the blazing speeds of Sony's servers (13 - 18 KB/s) this should only take me a few hours.

Seems to me somebody screwed up. I can understand why they didn't make them part of the standard MS download, but if they're going to advertise them they should at least have been included on the CD.

Not sure about the download upgrade. I got the packaged upgrade and it came with an application CD and a 1001 sound effects CD.

I ordered the download upgrade and opted for the CD to be sent later and that's exactly what I got - the MS CD. No sound effects CD. Oh, well, I got what I wanted. It took a while but I got it.

Thanks everyone...
