Thats incorrect. Vegas does indeed support 1080 24p. I have made several 1080 24p.

Oh, awesome. Thanks.

I'm still waiting to hear back from the telecine lab, but what he actually said was that Vegas doesn't support capturing 1080p and Premiere Pro does. Capturing? But I'm not capturing. I'm trying to figure out their workflow. They telecine directly to harddrive, in either Mac or PC format, so I can't see why that would matter.

Interesting.

Thanks again!

As of today (6/16/05) Vegas 6 does not support capturing 1080 24p (presumably coming from HDCAM, via HD-SDI through a Decklink).

If you are getting 1080 24p files on a drive, Vegas will open them, play them, let you edit and render (as long as the proper VFW codec is present on the system).

Its straight HD-SDI from the telecine machine at 1080 24p. The lab sad there is 2 other Vegas users that have been getting the files from their FCP machine and Vegas edits those fine. It sounds like they are using the Blackmagic cards to pipe the HD-SDI into their capture machines.

Thanks.
