1280 x 720 to Blu-Ray Disc Lingo wrote on 12/28/2011, 9:33 AM Can anybody suggest which settings in Vegas 11 I should use to render a 1280 x 720 / 50P file to a Blu-Ray file? The project is 105 minutes long. A wedding. Should I use AC3 for the audio as I do for DVD? I have not produced any BD before. Any help much appreciated. Back to post
Comments john_dennis wrote on 12/28/2011, 2:14 PM Here is a custom MainConcept template that you could use. Put the file in Username\AppData\Roaming\Sony\RenderTemplates\mpeg2-mc\filename.sft2. Then select Render As: MainConcept MPEG-2 Select the custom template: 11 Blu-ray 1280x720-50p, 25 Mbps video stream You could also use the Sony AVC 1280x720-59.94p if you create a custom template and change the frame rate to 50p. See page 192 of the DVD Architect 5.2 Manual for acceptable render settings for Blu-ray. You could use .ac3 or PCM for the audio just like you did for DVD. Please update your system specs. You probably aren't using Windows XP with Vegas Pro 11. Lingo wrote on 12/28/2011, 3:51 PM Many thanks John for that very helpful and comprehensive reply. You're right I am not using XP but Window 7. I'll update mynprofile as you suggest. 1
