1960's surf film look

I'm working on a long form DVD project that's almost complete. Any way, I want to end the DVD with a song that is kind of a surf tune (as in from the 60's) so I thought it would be fun to make the video look that way too. It consists of in studio footage (guitar) and beach scenes sped up with running dog/people, etc.

I am currently using the Sony B&W at 25% and then using MB's Misfire where I am getting the small scratches, bit of grain, slight jitter, vignette, etc. It's not bad at all but could be better I think. I'm wondering if I should lose the B&W at 25% first of all. I was trying for the look of when colors weren't as vibrant as today by using the slight bit of B&W. Think Gidget. :o)

So, if any of you have any ideas, they would be much appreciated as far as which plug-in and what settings (just in case you've done something similar before.) I should mention that I have VM Radiance, MB Editors 2, & Pixelan plug-ins and this was filmed with a V1U.

Thank you as always. Derek

ive got ALOT of these.. drop me an email and il send u the presets..
and explain how to use them properly withteh appropraite frame rate to get 16mm burnt look

Dont use misfire.. it will take forever to render. Try the VDub old movie filter.
Dont speed up the footage either

Hey DJ! I just shot you an email. Oh and I was speeding up the footage of dog on the beach to be funny (boss's request) not to help to achieve this look. Thanks again. Derek

IMO, maybe use a color correction to make the colors more vivid (ie Kodachrome) but then use noise and reduce the contrast a bit to make it look older.

Still from 1964.
