Thanks Johnnyroy

I appricate the help one further question. I just realized that my .avi file is 1h45min but my mini dv is 62min. The only way I can ge tthe second half of my avi on tape is to re edit the project at the 1h2min point rerender it as an avi file (save as part 2) and then print that half to my second tape I tried everything else and the program won't let me continue from where I left off

any sugestions?

Ralph

I think you’ve correctly worked around this limitation. At least it’s the only option I can see for a 1h45m tape. You can get 1h30m (i.e., 90 minutes) on miniDV at the LP tape speed but not 1h45m. I’ve only printed one AVI to tape that was longer than an hour but it was less than 90 minutes so it fit on one tape at LP speed. I think rendering a second AVI that starts at the break point is the only option you have.

YOu don't need to Re-edit, you can just delete the first part of the video from the timeline, and slide the last half to the start of the timeline.

(sorry, I didn't catch the part about re-editing the project)

Couldn’t you just make a timeline selection from where the tape ended and then render loop region only to an AVI file? Then just use that AVI with the Print-to-tape option in the capture tool for the second tape.
