I completed my first project last friday. It was a highlight dvd of a golf outing that my softball team has every year. Between the manual and reading this forum (mostly this forum) I was able to take 45 minutes of hard to watch video and edit it down to 14 minutes of music filled action that was even enjoyed by those that did not attend the outing.
From the editing theories to tips on how to accomplish certain effects this forum helped make the project so great. The amazing part is I did not post once to ask for help. The answers were already here from people who had similar problems/ ideas/ solutions.
FYI final project was 14 minutes of video, 7 minutes of slideshow. I used all three video tracks and all three audio tracks. 1 hour of render time 10 minutes burn time (dvda).
