2.7K Hero4 Black 60p will not render Sony AVC MP4

I have some 60Mbps 2704*1520 59.940 fps AVC with the standard GoPro audio 128Kbps 48.0KHz 2 channel AAC that I cannot seem to output from Vegas Pro 453. There is a perfect setting that seems like a no brainer which is:

Sony AVC/MVC in which i can exactly match the frame size, frame rate, drop it down from 60M to 26Mbps.

But if I take the frame size anything above 1920x1080 it just craps out at the start of rendering. Why doesn't Vegas do a custom frame size (1:1)?

Any other ideas on how to render Hero4 video and keep 2704*1520 59.940 fps would be greatly appreciated. I don't want to convert everything to AVI with the GoPro app as it takes it down to 1920*1080.

Thanks.

Shouldn't your frame size be 2704x1524, not 1520?

Anyway, GoPro studio converts and preserves the 2.7k frame size for me just fine to Cineform AVI.

@NormanPCN

No. 1520 is correct.

@VegasAndrew

I don't think you can render 2.7K directly from Vegas. However, you can render it in Handbrake. There is an excellent Vegas 2 Handbrake script available. Do a search.

No. 1520 is correct.

The 2.7k files from by Hero 3+ are 1524 so that is a change in the Hero4 from 3+.
