2 Laylas don't play well together

I have 2 Layla 24's on a P3 933MHz with Win2K (stongly considering switching to XPP). The first card records/plays fine, but the 2nd card records at twice speed (shorter/higher samples at double the pitch). I compared the sample/bit rates (48K/2048) and they are the same, and the cards both show the 6.05 drivers. Might this be an OS prob, IRQ, or something else?

Is there a way to run them off the same word-clock ?

There's a setting in the Echo Console, that has a check box to synchonize multiple cards. I don't have my dual Gina setup system infront of me, but it's in there somewhere, I believe under the "advanced" setup tab.

I've got my Mia console open and yes, there is a "synchronize wave devices" tab that you can check or un-check as Rednroll mentioned. Go to SETTINGS and it should be right there in the DRIVERS tab. You don't need to go to the advanced tab.

ya, that was one of the first things i looked at, and it was checked on both cards. gonna try switching PCI slots, reinstalling drivers, and then go with XP pro. seems like most people around here are XP pro, so when in rome...

I'm running XP Pro with my dual Gina's and don't have this issue. What are the input clocks of each Layla set too? If you have them set too anything other than "Internal" then change it, and record some analoy signals and see if you get the same results. Make sure you have the sample rates "unlocked" under the "driver" tab if you haven't already checked that in the echo console. Make sure you have all the input modes set to the samething as another trouble shooting step. Mine are all set to "purewave" and Vegas is using the Classic Wave Driver. I believe the "WDM" mode is recommended when running Vegas with the ASIO drivers. Make sure "syncronize wave devices is checked on BOTH echo consoles for each Layla.
