2 questions, 1 post - menus - burners

Hi All,

First question, I'm trying to create a DVD that will play a short video clip after a menu selection is made, then play the selection. I'm unable to find the right combination of . . . selections. . .
Has anyone done this and care to share?

Second question, worth 10 points, I'm wanting to know the "Best" DVD burner.

The best in way of compatibility with players. I currently have a Pioneer burner, but the disks created has some issues with some low-end players. One player is an Apex, sometimes it will read the disks, more often not.. . Other player I can't remeber the name, (started with an "O",- Oden?) but it started stalling after about 20 minutes. I guess maybe the bit-rate is too high and the player overheats. I was using a bit-rate of 8.0 mbps and will try 6.0 mbps. Will I sacrifice too much in quality?? Or is it the media???

I'm sure someone has had the same issues and hopefully resolved them. Please help..

Have your selection button point to that video clip, and then have the end action for that video clip point to the main selection.

Ok, that works for one selection - however I failed to mention that this short clip would be played from each menu button from the scene selection menu. I guess I will need to add that clip for each button (like 14 times) and point each end action to the desired video. Or is there still yet another way to re-use the short clip 14 times???...

Just put it in there 14 times, with a different end action for each "instance." DVDA will only put the actual video on your disc once, so no extra space is taken up for the "extra" 13 instances. Once they are in the project, you can rename each instance to help you keep track of what each one is doing.
