OKay - Just rendered out a 25min project. Text on seprate track/s. Other stuff pretty normal. Two tracks have got FX on 2 evetns. Nothing really hard at all. BUT the text compos have gone walkabout. . .. NOW I'm pre-rendering everything aint taking any further risks . .

Any ideas?

TIA

Strange happenings .... the only reasons that come to mind is accidentally muting the text track or making it a "problem child" (a child track with a vacant parent!)

One other thing to check - the composite mode is (a) source alpha by default - if this is changed to (x) overlay, dodge or burn then the text may disappear.

Good luck ....

Hiyah Pete - Thanx for the response:

"problem child" (a child track with a vacant parent!) - Nope! It was onits onw and not OWNED by anybody . . .

source alpha by default - Yup

. . .but but but . .. I gave the text a FIlm Look Fx. Flicker Jitter and Tint .. . looks brill . .. The Object appears in a lower 1/3 or 1/4 corner of the Frame. . . .. I can see everything happen as it should in Preview .. AND when I go to the trouble of Pre-Render .. no worries . . everything is there . .. wthout PRE-Rendering the "text" disappears and I'm left with this flickering, tinted and jittering backgound - HAHAH - totally usless . ..

Trust me to try out something on an "urgent" project . . .we've all been there . . I'll do it again too! ahah!

Any comments?

Grazie

What's your frame rate on playback without prerendering? Is it that your CPU just isn't keepn' up and you are dropping frames during preview? [edit] I just re-read your first post. Are you saying everything is fine when previewing from the timeline after prerendering but you lose the text in the final render? Hmmm, that is strange.

I know this is a stupid suggestion but just try rebooting and see what happens.
