24bit/96KHz in Vegas and SF4.5

Hi friends. This may have been covered (apologies if so)
but I'd like to know how to handle editing bit depths
greater than 16 bits in Vegas.

The ideal premise is to have Vegas and Sound Forge on the
same machine so that deep editing of any audio recorded in
Vegas can be done by SF. But, if SF doesn't support bit
depths greater than 16, what do you do?

Any thoughts?

Thanks

the only solution i've found for intense editing
of 24 bit files is to buy wavelab
i go between wavelab and Vegas alot
(especially for reversing 24 bit files)
i would love to edit 24 bits in SF
but so far it's not an option
sonic foundry has been talking about an
upgrade to 24 bit for SF for months now
i'm curious to hear the latest on this

Hmm.. is it WaveLab or Cubase that uses the parallel port dongle?
I've intentionally stayed away from dongle-protected software, as it
seriously hangs up my MIDI interface, so a Sound Forge v5 would be
ideal for me.

Thanks for the reply Pops
