Hello, I just received a sample AVI file which was recorded on the Panasonic DVX100 24p camera. They shot 24p advanced mode. I then used DVFilm to transfer the 60i AVI to a true 24p Quicktime file. I then selected 23.976fps/progressive on the vegas proprerties, and when i selected that quicktime file, it really said 23.976fps, which is perfect.

I then rendered as 23.976fps/progressive MPEG-2 file and used a utility called PULLDOWN.EXE to set the PULLDOWN flag inside the mpeg2 file so that the dvd player would do the 2:3 pulldown directly off the disc during playback.

I then imported the 24P mpeg-2 file into Sonic DVD Fusion for the Mac and burned to DVD.

Did I do everything correctly to get a 24P DVD disc? ;)

Sorry, I can't answer your question but I was wondering where you got a sample file from the DVX100? Was it something that you or someone you know shot or did a retailer send it to you. I have been searching for some actual raw footage shot with that camera to see the quality for myself. -Shon
