24p print-to-tape problems during 48 Hour

Just finished 48 Hour Film Festival and had problems printing to tape. Had to burn a DVD instead.

Project was shot widescreen 24p Advanced. I rendered out a AVI letterboxed reinserting 2-3 pulldown. Brought that AVI into 29.97 4:3 project. Looked great, but it wanted to re-render the whole timeline which took almost an hour for a 8 minutes timeline.

I know I'm punchy on 3 hours sleep since Friday, but what did I do wrong?

Might be that a PTT should use 2-3-3-2 pulldown - not sure though. I've got a DVX100A but I don't render a whole lot in 24 P all the time - just depending on the purpose.

Well, you can't PPT to DV decks inserting 2-3 or 2-3-3-2 pulldown, at least not on my systems. If you chose those, the next screen is grayed out.

I will have to experiment and see if I can figure it out now that I've actually had some sleep :)
