24p rendered to DV - Can't recapture video

I think this is undocumented. I rendered a 24p video for output to DV. Works fine. However, when I tried to recapture the video, the screen went wacky and the vcr control buttons would not work. In the same capture window, I tried a non-24p video and it worked fine. Any help? Thanks!

thats strange.. theoreticaly it should not do that since its simply copying the data off the tape thought the firewire, unless you vcr has some sort of issue with missing fields, or is recoding the video during playback.. ?

Yes, I'm using Vegas 4.0c. Also DVDA 4.0c. It only happens when I try to recapture previously edited 24p footage. Thanks for any suggestions and feedback.

What deck/camera is this on? Try turning off scene detection in VidCap and see if it's still a problem. If the deck is stripping some DV headers, it might be confusing VidCap into creating a new scene every other frame or something.
