In Options-Preferences-Burning I can select between 3.95 and 4.7 as a media pref. Why would I not simplly live with 4.7 media - better optimization or what? Thanks, beginner dvd guy, DGrob
I've made several posts about this a it caused me untold grief until I realised it even was a preference. It makes no difference to the final product, all it does is set the point at which Optimize tells you it will not fit or that you need to recompress.
Having it set to 3.95 as the default is not smart. I suppose it ensures your video is going to fit no matter what but... I just wonder how many souls out there are having the same problems as I did without realising. I've had someone tell me it should be 3.95 because the DVDs aren't really 4.7 GB.
