3-Monitors on AMD R9 280 Sapphire ... only 2 show

I'm trying to set up a Sony HDTV as a third monitor. HDMI out to 27" Dell (Mon !), DVI out to 24" ASUS (Like to have this a Mon 2), and Display port to HDMI adapter to Sony HDTV as Mon 3. Right now I have the Dell and the Sony operating. Can't get the ASUS to come on line through either of the DVI outs. Is there a solution to this. I've read that one monitor has to be a display port monitor for all three to work. I thought the adapter, Display Port to HDMI, would satisfy this. Maybe not. Anyone got an idea to move me forward? Thanks for any help..... Steve K

I would use 2x DVI and either the HDMI or Display port for the 3rd monitor; that works on my R9 290.

I needed an ACTIVE display port adapter to get the 3rd monitor working.

Active Display Port to HDMI adapter solved my problem. Now up and running with 3 monitors. Thanks all.
