I like to stay current on software, so I spent the upgrade fee. You get some good new effects, and a far better DVD authoring package.

Could you describe the problems you are having?

Just for dvd architect it's worth it! It's a great program.
The vegas part is a very small upgrade.

Thanks for the input! The problem I'm having is in burning a DVD in mpeg-2 format - for some reason (pre upgrade) I could only do so in mpeg-1, which was pretty low quality. I could save as an mpeg-2, but then it was just a file. I bought the upgrade and will try the DVD burning process tonight. Thanks!

You can't make a DVD in MPEG-1 format. Were you perhaps making VCDs? Up through version 3 VideoFactory/MovieStudio didn't support DVD burning, but did allow VCDs. And yes, the quality of VCD is pretty low.

I'm sorry - yes, VCDs. I know have the upgrade and am having a heck of a time figuring out the basics of DVD architect, but hopefully now I will have higher quality DVD's!
