30p XDCAM HD

I just want to make sure I'm doing this correctly. I notice there aren't any 30p presets for this for XDCAM HD in Vegas. So I figure I just take the HDV 1080-60i template, like I would use for XDCAM HD 60i and set the fielding to progressive. Then would I set any deinterlacing, since my footage is already progressive?

Same thing for rendering, just be sure to set the fielding to progressive?

This is for a project that I'm bringing in as 1080/30p on XDCAM HD that I need to edit and render out as a 1920X1080/30p uncompressed AVI.

I'm used to working in interlaced, so I haven't really tried progressive before.

Hmmh... Well, my XDCAM HD is 30p and Vegas agrees. My project is 30p, and Vegas agrees. But when I render to uncompressed AVI, I tell it to render progressive, but when I put the uncompressed AVI into Vegas, it tells me it is interlaced.

How can I actually make the uncompressed AVI progressive?
