360° video not being recognized by Vegas Pr 20

borisw wrote on 3/13/2023, 1:44 PM

Using Insta360's OneX, I've successfully created a 360° video and uploaded it to Youtube. When I'm trying to edit the same file (INSV file same format as MP4), in Vegas Pro's, I look at the 'File-Properties' it does not show it as a 360° format. Ideas on how to get it to recognize it and allow me to edit it and export?

Got a sample clip you can share? I'll see what I can do with it.

Systems:

Desktop

AMD Ryzen 7 1800x 8 core 16 thread at stock speed

64GB 3000mhz DDR4

Geforce RTX 3090

Windows 10

Laptop:

ASUS Zenbook Pro Duo 32GB (9980HK CPU, RTX 2060 GPU, dual 4K touch screens, main one OLED HDR)

Yes...please provide a sample file and we can diagnose the problem.

Attached is a photo inside Vegas Pro 20, 'Project Properties'. The '360° output' doesn't show up underneath the HDR Mode area as it does on Vegas Pro's web site (see below link).

So you know, Youtube sees and plays it properly.

Click tab 'Advanced' and you will have the '360 output' checkbox there
