The AMBEO Orbit plugin is available in AAX, VST, VST3 and AU format for both Mac and Windows.

I did a little tutorial for use in Vegas Pro bellow (use headphones to realize the binaural effect in audio)

@Former user - I can't Play/view your Tutorial. What do I need to do?

Grazie wrote on 6/28/2019, 1:50 AM

Ah, my ASIO AudioBox needed restarting . . . OK.

@Former user - Nice Tutorial. I love Envelopes. OK, I'm getting some amount of BACK from FRONT definition, but that B-F PLANE is titled, I'd need to TILT or ELEVATE to truly test this. I realise this is immersive for Cans, I wonder how this could or would be translated to 5.1?

I was a bit daunted by what you wrote - scary! Until I got to their Website and realized you have quoted what was written there.

@Former user - Thanks! I can use this. 😉

Thanks for that info. Seems to be a useful plug-in for me.

Was the title of this thread suppose to read "3D" instead of "8D"? When I read the title of 8D I really started to wonder how all the dimensions were being defined. I'm only familiar with 3D audio at this time where additional speakers are mounted overhead to provide the additional sound height aspect in addition to the already present front/back, and Left/Right in 7.1 and 5.1 surround.

It's 3D audio carried over a stereo headphone.

Be careful when installing this. The installation process tried to restart my Windows machine without warning or question -- twice!

Note to self (everyone else please look away -- the note that follows is a reminder for mine eyes only): Figure out a clever, kick-booty signature that suggests I'm completely aware of how to properly and exhaustively party on and that I, in fact, engage in said act on a frequent and spontaneous basis. All joking aside, listing my computer's properties is a futile endeavor. I edit multimedia in a local television station newsroom that has Vegas Pro installed on several machines with widely varied specs. We began editing non-linearly with Pinnacle Studio Version 8. That didn't last long before we upgraded to Vegas Video Version 4, then to Vegas Pro 10.

Your tutorial even worked on my old 4.1 computer speakers.

Can you teach me how to activate "Ambio Orbit" plugin?

Dexcon wrote on 3/6/2021, 5:38 AM

@HaeKyung-Lee  ... if you downloaded Ambio Orbit from Sennheiser's website, the zip file contains a Quickstart pdf file which explains how to install the plugin. In Vegas Pro (VP) and/or SoundForge Pro (SVP), you may have to go to Options/Preferences/VST Effects (tab) and use one of the search fields to direct VP/SFP to the Program Files (x86)/Program Files folder in which the Orbit plugin is located. This could be but not limited to a folder called VSTPlugins or Steinberg; but Senneheiser might use another folder for its installation.

For Vegas Pro, please note that you would need to look in Program Files (x86) - for 32 bits programs - because Vegas Pro does not accept VST3 plugins.
