3D fly in/out

Hey guys,
As I recall there's a trick to get the spin away/fly out transition to work properly but can't recall what it is. IOW with the fly out/spin away selected, Vegas 8 flys in the lower (in my case blank) track.
What do I need to do to make this one track fly out or spin out?
Thanks very much,
Randy

Change it to "fly out" in the transition properties.

I have Vegas 8, could you post a veg/screenshot? I assumed you put the transition @ the end of the event & wanted it to fly out.

I'm not quite sure I understand the question, but I had some fly-out problems back in 2004. Fixed here: http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/forums/ShowMessage.asp?Forum=4&MessageID=312502

I'm using V8 also...screen capture 1 ( http://i376.photobucket.com/albums/oo206/GRB53/Capture1.jpg ) is the settings in the transition (in the dropdown "spin away" was selected but of course went to "untitled" when I adjust spin rotation etc)
In screen capture 2 ( http://i376.photobucket.com/albums/oo206/GRB53/Capture2.jpg ) you can see the lower (blank) track spinning in.
Thanks for your patience and help Happy!
Sorry, I don't remember how to make a clickable link.

I think what I'm seeing in your screen shot is the Keyframe to do the fly-out. This is indicated by the white diamond in the center of the keyframe located at the very end of the transition timeline. If you click on the keyframe at the beginning of the timeline, you will see the white diamond appear on it. Which ever keyframe has the white diamond has the focus and shows you the properties for that moment in time on the itmeline. So -- You are not showing us the properties for the keyframe at the very beginning of the timeline. If the one at the beginning is set for a fly-in then this is your problem. Try deleting the beginning keyframe and moving the keyframe at the end to the beginning. This might be all you need to do if I'm understanding what you want to do?

Yes, I also see the "sync to timelime" button depressed, so if you clicked on the TL to see how it looks it moves in the transition timeline too.

ah-ha!
Yes this was one clip (.jpg) that I had made a fly in...later I couldn't get the fly out to work so I thought splitting the clip would resolve the issue but I left the original fly in keyframe there...works perfectly now amigos...thanks very much!
