3D PluginPac bug?

BillyBoy wrote on 5/14/2003, 4:49 PM
Anyone else seen this:

Drop any of the 3D PluginPac filters on a event. Now drop some other FX filters on the event like Color Corrector. So far, everything fine. Now get out of the event, work on another part of your project. Return to the event your dropped the 3D PluginPac on, and surprise... all the other FX filters are gone. The effects are still there, but the other filters can no longer can be changed since they no longer show in the plug-in chain. Doesn't happen all the time, just sometimes.

Billyboy,

Haven't experienced that. I'm curious: does it make any difference where you put 3D in in FX chain?

Satish had a lot of upgrades on the plugin pac. You might try the reinstall again.

I do have the latest version. What bugs me is I can't duplicate what causes it. It just happens sometimes. Next time I use any of the 3D filters I'll have to remember what plug-ins and other stuff I did in sequence, to see if that causes it. I was just wondering if others seen this, guess not.

Another thing I've seen a time or two that's more weird is I can be working away for a few hours and then all of a sudden one or more of the FX filter window planes gets duplicated and starts to appear floating over the timeline. I didn't drag it there and the original is still down at the bottom of the workspace. For example I've seen the scopes window duplicate itself. You can't click on the duplicate or get at the timeline underneath. If I shrink the window Vegas is running in, wait a few seconds, then again fully expand it, then it goes away only to come back a minute or so later. Only closing down and rebooting gets rid of it. Probably a weird video driver (got the latest) or Windows thing with system resouces... maybe.

That's about as wierd as you can get. That could be anything. Do you use any wireless
stuff? Wireless is exposed to all outside interference. Almost like something is
overheating and breaking down. No clue.

It is weird. Nope, no wireless. I really got to get myself one of those Bill Gates voodoo dolls, my computer may be possessed or something. :-)
