3k video

Hi y'all,
Just wonderin if you guys have heard about these new (not new, but new to me) frame sizes. They are much larger than HD (3K being 3072x1728), do you think Vegas will support these sizes in new versions or using a plugin? Any info is appreciated,

No, the current Vegas Pro supports only up to 2048 by 2048. Movie Studio Platinum possibly only up to 1920x1080. The plain Movie Studio only goes up to 800x600.

but do you think they will ever higher the resolution on the pro version or the platinum? I currently use plantinum, is the Pro version much better? Any plugins that could higher the res?

No, it's a matter of engine, not a plugin. You will have to wait for the next Pro version to see if they have up'ed the resolution support.
