4.0 not working correctly?

I downloaded 4.0 upgrade on day 1. Software works great the first time I run it after starting my computer. When I go to open it a 2nd time, it hangs up on the Sonic Foundry welcome screen. If I restart my computer it works fine but only the first time I open it. Very frustrating and I haven't heard back from SF Support. I've uninstalled everything 2x (including blowing out the folders), downloaded software again and am STILL having the problem!

I'm running 1.8ghz P4 512ram XP. Never had a problem with 3.0 and the 4.0 beta version worked fine.

Help!

Do you have any programs that utilize a dongle? I found out that I can't open the Vegas 4.0 program while my Emagic's Logic dongle is in the USB port. I reported this to tech support and apparently I'm not the only one with this problem. The solution for me was a simple one. . . take out the dongle.

Interestingly, the dongle for Steinberg's SX program doesn't interfere with the Vegas 4.0 program.

Hope your problem is as simple as mine.
