4.0e updated installed over 4.0d?

I just want to make sure, should I install the update over the last update. I don't remember what I did last time?

Don't worry about the "e" update. All it does is change SonicFoundry to Sony, is my understanding.

Okay, but in general should updates be installed over previous versions, or should the app be uninstalled first?

No, you install it over the current version, whatever it may be.

Unless you're going from V3 to V4*. V3 will folders will remain. I once had a minor problem that required I uninstall V3 AND deleted the folders to resolve a registration issue. DGrob
