I just can't get the drivers to install cleanly. There are xp flags. That are normal. If I install it as clean as it will let me there is only one assignable option in the audio properties in Vegas. If it install not clean, there are 2 or 3 options but they don't work?
Several things.......What version driver are you using? What do you mean by clean? Did you manually delete all the .dll and .sys files also?
If not, that is your problem. To do a clean install you must manually delete EVERY M-Audio driver file that is on your computer associated with the Quattro. Un-Installing doesn't remove these files. If you need to know all the files, post again and I will list them. If everything goes right , under "Preferences", "Audio Device" you will see two listings for MAudio USB. Choose the first and it should work. I have had good luck with driver version 1.30.0.0. Make sure you load all drivers first...THEN plug in the Quattro.
I would recommend you call/contact MAudio. I am sure they can help you sort this out and I know they have recent copies of all of our software if you have any issues.
Thanks, I tried and got no responce . I used a friends Quattro. I didn't have much luck with the 3 usb devises I have used.
I just got my hands on an Echo Mona and I tracked down a Mona laptop adapter today also. A much better sound card / digital interface. Sounds grat, easy to use, all the channels work and can be used, no usb bandwidth problem.
They don't make this one anymore. I'm luck to get it. Got good deals on both.
