4K Monitors and Vegas 13

Just added a 4K monitor to my editing PC. All was good until I discovered Photoshop CS6 does not scale well on a 3840 v 2160 screen. The menu and tools, etc. are so very tiny. Even adjusting Windows 7 to 175% does not rectify the problem. Photoshop is by far the worst application on a 4K monitor. Guess what is the second worst? Vegas 13 Pro! Although a tiny bit larger than Photoshop, Vegas 13 on a 4K monitor is disappointing. Why is this the case? Image professional use Photoshop and video professionals use Vegas. Yet they are terrible on a 4K monitor. Adobe does not seem to care as they have their heads in a cloud. What about the folks at SCS? Do they care?

Maybe the 4k monitor should be used only for viewing 4k videos, etc., while a 2k monitor should be used for the software.

I agree with Vidmus.

A 21:9 monitor would be great for Vegas timeline, effects, and what not. Use the 4K for preview.

I upgraded my "Readers" glasses. The landscape for Vegas editing on a 4K screen is just blissful! It's literally 4 HD monitors. It is hard for me to go back to Vegas on HD screen now.

Yes, that is one solution. But why should I have to go to that solution? Why not just have the application properly scaled for a 4K monitor? Of all the applications on my PC, Photoshop and Vegas are the only ones with this issue. Isn't the best solution the most simple solution? How did all the other software companies manage to create software that scales properly on 4K monitors? The 4K monitor is gorgeous and brings a "pop" to everything. I am over 2K monitors.

I followed the thread. Not very reassuring that for over a year people have been talking about this issue and SCS has done nothing to date to fix it. How do they expect us to continue investing in their products?
