4K MP4 Rendering is not working (18 Vegas build 527)

Cobra wrote on 5/20/2021, 4:53 AM

I am trying to upscale a 1080p 60p video to 4K.

I have set the correct resolution at the project settings

I try to render at 4K res with 150Mbs

It does not even execute

I have tried lower bitrate, even the DEFAULT UHD 2160p profile. I get the same result.

I can render only in Apple ProRes with these settings but the rendered video is skipping frames.

Okay the problem is with the bitrate. It cannot render more than 100MPbs

What do you expect from rendering FHD to 4K?

I can render with your rendersettings without issues using Intel QSV encode mode.

Wonder if it's related to the metronome issue.

@Cobra If its of use to upscale the video clip(s) before using in your project, then the VFR2CFR util via my signature can upscale by 2x. You can set the the quality, thus the file size as you want, high or low.

Or, use the util to upscale to 4k after you render out to FHD. This setting is called “Double” in the util, requires ffmpeg installed and added to the Windows PATH.
