Hello all and thanks in advance for the responses. I have scoured the forum for a couple days but just can't seem to pin down an answer.
I have had a ticket with Magix for 5 days with no response and past due project deadline (9/17). Magix Ticket#2019091917006001 if you are monitoring.
I have ran in to an issue with rendering 4k projects. Have latest v16 & v17 updates installed (today's 321 update). Have uninstalled completely and reinstalled both 16 & 17 to no avail and same result. Neat video 5.1 and Vegasaur 3.9 - both latest updates.
Working on final render of a massive project 4k project with mixed media - 2.5 hour timeline 12 tracks deep with image processing, neat video, etc. All 4k 23.976. Panasonic cx-350 (150mps long gop), canon EOS-R, Omso, Osmo pocket, Hero 6 - everything 4k.
I have completed similar projects without issue.
I have a threadripper 2950, 32GB ram, ASUS dual RTX 2070 with 8GB - Nvidia with latest studio drivers (431.86), SSD running program files and data on external 3.5 sata drive via sled as I always do. Win 10 Pro. Latest software and driver updates on everything.
Project settings: (can't get image to upload)
4k - WFHD 24p
frame rate: 23.976 Best, Gaussian, Blend, Smart resample.
Adjust source media... checkbox NOT checked.
Rendering to Magix 4k HEVC /AAC MP4 (Intel QSV) codec.
Frame size 2160 - 3840x2160
Allow source to adjust... checkbox NOT checked.
Field: None - progressive scan
Variable: bit rate max 48,000,000 Average 24,000,000
Encode Mode: Intel QSV
Preset: Balanced
RC: N/A (greyed out)
Project obviously takes forever (over a day) to render.
Problem I am encountering is I get a file which renders all audio, but partial video - like 5 minutes out of 2.5 hours. The final file when loaded up renders the first few minutes of the project, then random frames throughout making it appear to be in fast motion. Will play back flawed file in Media players but no ff or rewind capabilities. When watching the program monitor during rendering, it definitely advances 5 frames before seeing a change of frames on the screen and that change is 1 frame.
I have toyed with the settings and combinations so many times now, I am not sure what baseline is.
Project was started in 16, then migrated to 17. I've tried an older version of the project created in 16, and rendered on 16 - same results. 17 project now giving me headaches of "low memory error" and black frames while rendering.
Any ideas? thanks, Paul
